IVF Planner — Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 9, 2026
IVF Planner ("the app") is a medication planner and record for fertility treatment, published by Chinese Powered ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data the app handles and who can see it.
The short version. Your health information never leaves your phone unless you send it somewhere yourself. We run no servers for the app, there are no accounts, and we never receive, see, sell or share your treatment data. The only data collection is the advertising service in the free version and, if you add them, your clinic's phone numbers when you call them (both described below); neither ever includes your health information.
Data stored on your device only
Everything you enter is saved in the app's storage on your phone: your cycles and their dates, medications, doses and schedules, which doses you marked taken or skipped (with the time and injection site), monitoring scans (follicle sizes, lining), bloodwork results, appointments and the questions you note for them, daily check-ins (mood, symptoms and notes), retrieval and transfer results, outcomes, your clinic's name and phone numbers, treatment costs and what insurance covered (with Plus), notes and your settings. We never see any of it, and it is not uploaded anywhere by the app.
- Settings › Delete everything erases it from the app, together with the backups, reports, calendar files and spreadsheets the app kept for sharing, and so does uninstalling the app.
- Your phone's own backups (iCloud or Google) may include the app's data, following your backup settings. Those backups are under your account, not ours.
- Widgets you add to your home or lock screen, and on iPhone the trigger shot's countdown on the Lock Screen, show your next dose from the data on your phone; with Discreet notifications or App lock on they leave out medication names. Nothing about them leaves your phone.
- App lock (optional, in Settings) asks for your phone's Face ID, Touch ID, fingerprint or passcode to open the app. Your phone checks it and tells the app only whether it passed: the app never receives your face, fingerprint or passcode.
- Your clinic's phone numbers (optional) are for the Call button. When you tap it, the app hands the number to your phone's dialer, and your phone's own apps and services (its dialer, caller ID or autofill) handle it under their own terms. Google Play's Data safety section lists this as a phone number collected for app functionality, optional and not shared. The app itself never sends the number to us or anyone else.
Backups, reports, spreadsheets and calendar files you share
You can save a backup file, create a PDF report for your doctor, export your records as a spreadsheet (an Excel workbook of one cycle or of every cycle), and (with Plus) share the plan as a calendar file, for example with your partner: the dose times ahead with medication names, doses and the instructions you noted for them, and your appointments with their place, notes and the questions you still have open (with Discreet notifications on, the file leaves out medication names, instructions, places, notes and questions). All of them are made on your phone and leave it only when you choose where to send them in your phone's share sheet (for example Messages, email, Files, or a cloud drive you use); the service you pick, and any calendar the file is added to, handles it under its own terms. The app keeps only the latest file of each kind in its private cache, until the next one replaces it or you use Delete everything. Restoring a backup reads a file you choose, and the copy it reads is deleted afterwards. We don't receive any of these files.
Notifications
Dose alarms, trigger shot alerts, appointment and refill reminders are local notifications scheduled on your phone. No push-notification server is involved. Notifications show medication names unless you turn on Discreet notifications in Settings, which keeps them off the lock screen. On iPhone, dose alarms use the Time Sensitive level so they can come through a Focus; you can turn that off in your iPhone's Settings.
Permissions
- Notifications, to deliver the alarms you set up.
- Alarms & reminders (Android 12 and later), so alarms ring at the exact minute instead of being delayed by the system.
On Android the app may also vibrate the phone for a light touch when you mark a dose done (following your phone's touch-feedback setting). The app does not use your camera, microphone, contacts, location, photos, or Apple Health / Health Connect.
Tell a friend in Settings opens your phone's share sheet with a link to this website and nothing else.
Advertising (Google AdMob, free version)
The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob: a banner on the main tabs, an occasional full-screen ad after saving a scan, bloodwork, an appointment or an outcome (never near a dose time and never right after an alarm), and an optional short video that unlocks a doctor report. Plus members see no ads.
- Never personalized. Every ad request asks for non-personalized ads. On iPhone, the app does not ask to track you and does not use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA).
- No health data. Nothing about your treatment, medications, results or cycles is ever sent with an ad request, and no ad is chosen based on them.
- What Google's SDK collects. When an ad is requested, Google's software may collect device and app information such as IP address (and the approximate location it implies), device identifiers (on Android, the advertising ID), and how ads were viewed and tapped, plus diagnostics. Google uses it to deliver and measure ads, to limit how often you see the same ad, and to prevent fraud.
- Consent. Where the law requires it (the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), Google's consent form appears before any ad, and Settings shows Ad privacy choices so you can change your answer.
- Details: Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses data in AdMob. On Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings.
Purchases
IVF Planner Plus is bought through Apple's App Store or Google Play, which process the payment; we never see your payment details or your name. The app checks whether you have Plus by asking the store on your phone. No purchase information is sent to us or to any other service.
Analytics and tracking
The app contains no analytics or crash-reporting service and does not track you across other apps or websites.
This website
ivf.chinesepowered.com is a static site with no accounts, forms or analytics of its own. Its pages load Google AdSense, which may use cookies and similar technologies to show and measure ads, including ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can manage ad personalization in Google's Ad Settings; see how Google uses cookies in advertising. None of this involves the app or your health information, which stays on your phone. Like any web server, the site may keep standard access logs (such as IP address and browser type) for a short time for security and troubleshooting.
Health data laws
Because your health information stays on your device, we do not collect, share, sell or process consumer health data, and we never use it for advertising. If that ever changed, this policy would say so first and the app would ask for your consent before anything left your phone.
Children
IVF Planner is made for adults in fertility treatment and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Your choices
- Notifications: turn reminders off in the app's Settings or in your phone's settings; Discreet notifications keeps medication names off the lock screen.
- Ads: Ad privacy choices in Settings (where it applies), your phone's advertising ID settings, or Plus.
- Clinic phone numbers: optional; leave them empty, or change or clear them in the cycle's details at any time.
- Your data: export it as a backup file or a spreadsheet at any time, or erase it with Settings › Delete everything. Since we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete on our side, but we're happy to answer questions.
- Subscription: manage or cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account settings; the app links there from Settings.
Changes
If a future version handles data differently, this policy will be updated before that version ships, with a new effective date above.
